LETTER: Social care doesn’t extend into the countryside

I AM fed up with Social Services saying they care for people in their own homes, rather than them having to go into care.

But one thing they don’t say is only if you live in the town, not in the country like me!

All I get off any social workers who come to see me is: “You are a long way out” – and I am only one mile from Dunsop Bridge.

There are quite a lot of people around here who are more out in the wilds than I am. For example, there are five more houses further up the same road as me, so God help any of those if they ever need help off Social Services in their own home.
