LETTER: Roads were left like skating rinks
I FEEL I must write to you on the state of our roads. My sister has just moved to Nelson and, while I was there yesterday, a snowplough came up her front street, followed by a huge wagon spraying out de-icer on the streets.
Yet in Burnley all our streets are like skating rinks! It is disgusting. Does the council not think about the old people that can’t get out and are frightened of falling, or worse?
All our streets are covered in ice and extremely slippy and dangerous.
Why are people paying Council Tax and what for?
