LETTER: Really enjoyed Lancashire Day in Nelson

Can I congratulate Pendle Council and all those concerned in putting on an excellent Lancashire Day in Nelson on Saturday, November 24th.

Those fortunate enough to visit were treated to lots of stalls, morris dancing, music, ice skating and food tasting.

While there, we were given a leaflet advertising the Christmas fair at the Catholic Church around the corner so my family and I then visited the church and were served a hearty lunch of home-made meat and potato pie, mushy peas, red cabbage, onions and beetroot – all for only £1.50 per person. It was delicious. What good value for money. Thank you to all concerned.
