LETTER: Progress on plans for Clitheroe Hospital
Progress on the new hospital at last.
The community owes a big vote of thanks to Ms Jackie Hadwen who has doggedly persued the project and consulted at every stage with local interests. We all now have a duty to attend the drop-in sessions and not miss any opportunity to show how much we want and value this facility.
Last time we were told the money was available but following delays caused by a well-meaning (but in my view misguided) effort to save the old workhouse building there were changes in NHS organisation and the economic climate and all was lost.
Don’t lose it this time, full steam ahead before there is another U-turn!
