LETTER: Praise for Airedale Hospital

as there is so much criticism about hospital care in the media, I feel I must put my two-pennyworth in about our fine Airedale Hospital.

My dear mother, father and husband were so well cared for, as I myself was only a year ago and my brother-in-law, who has a short-term memory problem and consequently needed more patience while dealing with his recent knee replacement.

I found the nurses, as always, thoughtful and caring with a smile and a kind word not only for him, but also us as his family who were worried for him and the confusion he felt just being in hospital.

The nursing staff at Airedale are just tip-top in their chosen profession and my family and I say God bless them.

We always find the wards are very clean and the linen is spotless. I know that unfortunately, this is not so in some other hospitals.

Of course, parking is often a problem as it is elsewhere but it seems there is not much that can be done about that nowadays.

All in all we, in this area, are very lucky to have our fine doctors and nurses caring for us so I say again a big thank you and God bless them
