LETTER: Pendle’s Got Talent

In February, I had the pleasure of attending a production of one of my all time favourite films, Bugsy Malone, at Pendle Vale College.

The quality of the acting coupled with the singing, scenery and costumes were a credit to all those involved.

I found myself again in the area to attend the finale night of the Pendle Schools Festival. It was a wonderful testament to the ability and talent of all the young people involved. There was something for everyone with a vast range of music for all tastes.

It was hard to pick out a favourite, but just because I haven’t stopped singing it myself since the festival it would have to be the rendition of “Oh Happy Day” and the talent of the young man singing the solo part was second to none.

A big well done to all involved and thanks for a wonderful evening’s entertainment. Pendle definitely has got talent.
