LETTER: My praise for Royal Blackburn Hospital

I WAS recently admitted to the Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E.

I was treated almost straight away by doctors and nursing staff, then transferred to the assessment ward. After further tests, I was taken to ward C7.

My overall stay in hospital was two weeks, where I was cared for with the utmost dedication, skill and care by the doctors, nurses and staff.

I read sometimes that people complain about their stay in hospital, but in my case I had no complaints whatsoever.

During my stay, at first I was in ward B6, but then the whole ward was transferred upstairs to ward C7 together with all the facilities, equipment and beds. The nurses, porters and other staff worked togehter in this move until complete, and even then the nurses and staff still gave priority to patients in their care.

I have never seen a group of people work as hard as they did.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, paramedics and staff who looked after me during my two-week stay.

They all have my utmost respect and admiration for what they do.
