LETTER: Lancashire County Council must have money to burn
The new Pelican-style traffic lights in Padiham are massively expensive and hold up both pedestrians and traffic.
How many times have you pressed the button to cross the road and waited and waited and waited ... only to lose your patience and dash across dodging the traffic. When driving how many times have you waited and waited at a red light when no one walks across. The zebra is a fraction of the cost (just some black and white paint) and hold ups to walkers and drivers are minimised. Lancashire CC must have money to burn and our time to waste.
