LETTER: Injustice to women clergy
HOW disappointing to find the Bishop of Burnley voted against women bishops in the Anglican church.
Is this the same bishop who commented earlier in the year (when talking about the Pendle Hill witch artwork): “Do we want the area to be known for the injustice and oppression of perhaps elderly, perhaps deformed, perhaps elderly women...”
Perhaps he should add women clergy to that list.
