LETTER: Hurst Green mystery evening was great

MY companions and I attended an absolutely fantastic Victorian banquet at St John’s Old School Hall in Hurst Green on the evening of December 10th.

We purchased this evening of mystery, intrigue and sumptuous dining in October at an Auction of Promises in aid of a new floor for St John’s Old School. What a worthwhile promise we received from the ladies, Dianne Rimmer, Nicky Bailey and Caroline Holden.

I, as “Lady Caroline Mouton”, and my husband as Reverend Bretheren, and all my fellow companions enjoyed an evening of costume drama (which we threw ourselves into) and a dining extravaganza.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the above mentioned ladies and to recommend this wonderful entertainment to all through the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times.
