LETTER: How can pub be changed into a tile centre?

Can I ask, through your column, how the old General Gordon pub can be changed into a tile centre? Has planning permission been granted as it was originally going to be a seven-bedroomed private residence?

This building is on a dangerous corner, is on a bus route, has no parking facilities and is next to a primary school where lots of small children are coming and going and a church with services, weddings, funerals etc.

Where are customers and delivery vehicles going to park - the school yard?

How has this been allowed when permission to change a sandwich bar in Railway Street to a fish and chip shop was refused?
