LETTER: Government tp blame for higher energy prices
I WAS rather taken aback at Energy Minister Chris Huhne’s speech at the Lib-Dem’s annual conference, talking about making energy prices more affordable by taking tough action against the big six providers.
His Green and pro-EU policies to reduce carbon emissions have been responsible for the massive increase in energy prices, costing hundreds of pounds a year, that we are all having pay.
One of the main contributing factors is the massive subsidies paid to the owners of the inefficient wind farms that are springing up all over the place. They even get paid not to provide electricity.

Hide AdWhile quite rightly taking the energy companies to task, much of the problem is of his own making. The word hypocrite springs to mind.
This is the price we are all having to pay thanks to the pro–EU Coalition Government.
