LETTER: Don’t be negative about Burnley new shopping complex
FABULOUS front page news on the Friday, May 6th, edition of the Burnley Express.
This shopping complex has been a long time coming. A much-needed boost for Burnley, creating jobs, bringing people into Burnley town centre and for shoppers like myself, who don’t drive, bringing in the big stores which saves me travelling out of town.
But why does former Burnley MP Peter Pike have to be so negative? The site for the shopping complex is ideal. Peter Pike states that development opposite the bus station (where does he mean exactly?) is needed. I don’t know how you could compare this to the Curzon Street development area. Couldn’t Mr Pike just be happy for this positive development for the town of Burnley.
