LETTER: Demise of Whalley Library’s Reading Room

I HAVE slowly watched the demise of the Reading Room at Whalley Library over the years, first with the introduction of the computers, then classes with instructors, while one is trying to read a newspaper.

Now, to beat everything else, they have removed the local newspapers, plus the dailies except for the 20p “I” paper.

So this is just a way of telling us the Reading Room is finished, or perhaps not wanting our patronage.
