LETTER: Congratulations on ‘Scrooge’
WITH Christmas approaching, St Cuthbert’s Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society marked the season with “Scrooge The Musical”. Having seen the stage version, with the late Anthony Newley as Scrooge, Leslie Bricusse’s work adds great gusto to Dickens’ wonderful story.
In this local production congratulations must be extended to all involved, with a special mention for Malcolm Gent as Scrooge. His vocal performance reminded me of Newley himself. Thank you one and all.
