LETTER: Coast of Great Britain bike ride has raised £24,300 for Cancer Research
May I express my heartfelt thanks to you and all the readers and sponsors who supported my 4,500-mile bike ride around the Coast of Great Britain.
Donations for Cancer Research UK have now reached the incredible figure of £24,300 – testament, if any were needed, to the amazing generosity of the people of Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley.
The Advertiser was a great help, keeping readers up-to-date with progress of the long ride. Donations are still coming in too, including a marvellous £800 from the Rock the Castle night, which I was proud to attend. The enthusiasm of the organisers, audience and the three bands was very energising!
