LETTER: Closing park toilets isn’t a good move

I AM an avid dog walker, who often uses Brungerley Park as a route for walking my dog.

I have watched over the past couple of weeks, as more and more wooden climbing apparatus have been placed around the park to encourage families to use the facilities available. While I think this is a fantastic idea, I wonder why the toilet facilities were closed.

How are families with young children expected to have a day out in the park with no toilet facilities accessible? The other nearest toilets are in the cemetery or towards Waddington, which is not feasible for families with young children.

I believe this is matter which should be addressed by the council, to encourage families to spend time in the park enjoying the new renovations being construction currently.
