LETTER: Clitheroe Hospital service is under threat

CLITHEROE residents and surrounding villages, do you know you are losing a very vital and important service?

The rehabilitation Day Unit is closing at Clitheroe Hospital. This service is a lifeline to many people and their families. It offers day care with medical input from other people, eg. physiotherapists, occupational therapists, including doctors’ visits. It offers a friendly caring and supportive environment.

The care will fall back onto their immediate families, which will disrupt and, in some cases, destroy their existing family life, as so many carers want and need this respite for themselves and their loved ones.
