LETTER: 20mph sign is a complete waste of time

Perhaps someone from the Lancashire County Council could reply to my letter in your paper.

Around Colne Road and Barden Lane, 20mph signs have been erected in various locations, which to me is a very good thing indeed if it will save some lives by cutting down the speed.

I am all for it but this is my main question: why has a 20mph sign been placed at the end of Rosberry Street next to the bus depot at Queensgate? This street has no houses on it, is only yards long plus, being a cobbled street, which runs only into the depot wall, surely this is a complete waste of rate-payers money and time.

I am sure better time could be spent on repairing pot-holes etc and sunken grate covers.
