‘Jekyll & Hyde - The Musical’ review was spot on

Eric Beardsworth’s review of “Jekyll & Hyde – the Musical” was spot on and a great credit to the Clitheroe Parish Church Operatic Society.

Having been to a rehearsal four weeks ago and been very impressed with the quality of acting and singing, I went along to Saturday’s matinee. I was blown away with the performances of Peter Norris as Jekyll, Katie Cowburn as Lucy and Laura Corney as Emma,as well as all the minor roles and a fantastic chorus, who should be very proud of their roles in the success of the show,

Lindsay Pollard’s choreography was exellent, plus a very good orchestra, although I must agree with Eric’s view that the overall success of this outstanding production is totaly due to Anne Grogan, the show’s director. Her work with the principals, and the movement of the outstanding chorus, were terrific. She should be very proud of her work,

Brian Haworth must be a very happy but tired chairman after all his set building. The public reaction to the show has been fantastic. I have never seen a standing ovation at a matinee. I can’t wait for next years show, “Oliver!”, it holds a lot of happy memories for me.
