Information needed from Second World War

I am currently writing a book about my uncle, Capt. Kenneth Mitchell Hughes.

He joined The 65th Manchester Regiment Anti Aircraft Brigade in 1936 in the Hulme area of Manchester. He sailed to Singapore in 1940 where the Regiment merged with 3 Heavy Ack Ack and was second in command of one of the batteries on the island.

He was captured by the Japanese in February 1942, eventually going to Saigon and finally to the Siam/Burma railway in Thailand. He was in Kinsaiyok Jungle Camp 2 until 1944. He died in Rangoon in 1945.

I have gaps in my records concerning The Manchester Regiment, the 65th and the Batteries in Singapore. If anyone has knowledge of the Hulme based Regiment, the 65th and their action in Singapore, I should be very pleased to hear from them.
