Hoping for a great 2015 for the Clarets

It does not seem possible that 2014 has come to an end so quickly. A year ago we were hoping the New Year would prove to be a good year for Burnley Football Club – and it did with us securing automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

We all knew it would be tough in the top League but it really is great to see Burnley there and on merit.

Recent games have shown we have the skill and determination to survive.

Our first home game in 2015 in the cup against Spurs brought back many great memories of our times at the height of the club success – but we have also had some great games in recent years with them.

While the Cup is still a great competition to win, clearly survival in the Premier must be the main target and to achieve that would prove to be a massive boost to the future of the Club

I hope the New Year proves to be a good one for the town and the whole area.

Let us hope; as we still recall the events of 100 years ago and the appalling tragedies of the Great War; that 2015 will see a peaceful solution to the many conflicts we see in the world at the present time.
