Great review of ‘Blood Brothers’

After reading the review of “Blood Brothers” written by Laura Longworth last week I felt compelled to write in and thank her personally.

I was delighted when I was chosen to be a member of the cast of such an inconic piece. along with my dear friend Liz Rowell, an exceptional actress I have had the pleasure of working with many times before.

When I met the rest of the cast, I realised I was working with some tremendously talented people. We made a formidable team and I take my hat off to all my fellow players. I think our love for the play made our job easier in some respects, but also so much more difficult as we were so passionate about getting it right, causing our long-suffering director James a few sleepless nights!

As an actor, that reward for all your efforts and commitment comes from the mouths of the audience when they like what you do, but the icing on the cake has to be a complimentary review in your own local paper from someone who herself has a great talent for the written word, and can transfer what she saw and thought into an exceptional piece of writing.

So thanks Laura, on behalf of all the cast of “Blood Brothers” and Pendle Borderline Society members, for not only the icing on that cake, but a big fat cherry!
