Future of Clitheroe depends on residents’ support

I would like to say thank you to all who attended the public meeting to discuss the proposed Waddow View development.

The MP, county councillors, Ribble Valley and town councillors all attended in a full hall of almost 200 people. Without a doubt, everyone in the room had great concerns about traffic, school places, doctor surgeries and in particular the detrimental effect it would have on our town and community. It is very important we get as many letters of objection to the RV Planning Department.

This will affect the whole of Clitheroe. There were people from Henthorn and Chatburn Road areas who spoke to us, fully realising the knock-on effects of this particular development. It does not matter where you live in Clitheroe, the town’s survival as we know it depends on your support. You can make a difference. We have beaten them once and we can do it again.

Let’s hear the people of Clitheroe tell them what we do not want.
