Finding out what UKIP have to say

I recently saw UKIP out down Burnley, having a street stall where they were, as all the others do, trying to get my vote.

Now me, being intrigued and open to hear what they had to say, went to strike up a conversation. I ended up speaking to the Parliamentary candidate Tom Commis, who came across as a nice enough fellow, who in comparison to myself is especially tall!

After listening to what he had to say, I must admit I was surprised to hear some of the things said were not what I had previously heard. To be honest, I had heard not much of UKIP apart from a few bad/funny comments here and there.

Anyway, I was told the main aim in Burnley was to raise living standards by bringing jobs to the area. Probably something most folk would agree with and that, in order for us to be able to change anything, we first need to have the final say over making the laws of our country. I do think we should leave the EU purely because we pay £55m. a day to be a part of it and they now make a lot of UK law. With Greece, Spain and Italy on the brink of collapse, looking to other parts of the world for trade as well Europe would be taking all of our eggs out of the same basket. This time I think I will give Tom a chance as he really did seem to have a good knowledge of the problems we face and proper solutions, if only they were implemented.
