Economist slating of Burnley more than ‘irritation’
I just read the article in the Burnley Express (October 15th) over a quote made in the Economist magazine. Again Burnley receiving negative comments.
But what wound me up even more was the response from Coun. Julie Cooper, that she was “really quite irritated by it.”
For goodness sake Coun. Cooper put some fight in your response. You’re the leader of Burnley Council, the voice for the people of Burnley. But maybe it is just an irritation for Coun. Cooper as she doesn’t live in the town of Burnley.
