Celeb backs campaign for CCTV in slaughterhouses
More than 50,000 people have signed the petition and, if it attracts 100,000 signatures, it will be debated in Parliament.
The campaign for CCTV is in response to Animal Aid’s investigations that found evidence of widespread cruelty inside UK slaughterhouses, including animals being kicked, punched, beaten, burned with cigarettes and given punishing electric shocks. We also filmed animals being dragged by their ears, picked up by their fleeces and thrown, and improperly stunned.
