Do employers give any thought to dismissing an employee wrongly accused of gross misconduct, without considering the consequences to that individual? We are back in the Victorian ages when an employee is accused of leaving work without permission, although, according to a witness, this was not so. A loyal worker for over six years should be given a warning and a second chance.
