Atrocious working conditions at Royal Blackburn Hospital
I want to thank Mark, Lee and Barbara who attended to me at the Mechanics in a most caring and re-assuring way, until the ambulance arrived. My excellent care and attention continued throughout the journey to the A & E Department at Blackburn, and I thank the ambulance crew very much for that.
Throughout the night I became utterly disgusted at the working conditions that the staff have to work in. The language used and hostility shown by many “patients” was beyond belief , and I witnessed several incidents very close to fighting between Security and very objectionable “patients” .

Hide AdI realise that we all have to accept cut backs, (I spent 11 hours on a trolley before a bed was available) but no-one should have to work at that level for a 12 hour shift under those conditions.
We should all be ashamed!
Thank you, angels of the night.
