While I suspect he is trying to bury bad news, the story refuses to go away and two more Tory MPs have decided to stand down at next year’s General Election.
Mr Carswell’s decision to defect to UKIP was based upon a matter of mistrust over Cameron’s pledge on holding an “in - out” referendum on our EU membership and the way it will be conducted.

Hide AdAnd while Mr Cameron continues pontificate, the EU continues to rule us, banning high-powered vacuum cleaners, soon to be followed by high powered hair dryers.
The good news is that UKIP is likely to have its first MP elected in the Clacton by-election in October. No wonder the political are trying to bury their bad news.
