A 15-minute standing ovation for ‘Les Miserables’

We had the great pleasure of attending the final performance of Bowland high School’s production of “Les Misérables” at The Grand.

Having a grand-daughter performing on the night was special, but the performance of the lead singers and cast as a whole was astounding. We were left, yet again, utterly amazed by the talent we have in abundance here in the Ribble Vally.

“Les Misérables” is well noted as being a challenging show to stage, yet Bowland produced a seamless performance to such a high standard that moved the full house to a near 15-minute final standing ovation!

To put on a performance of this calibre, particularly in a busy school exam period, is to be highly commended, confirming the commitment by the staff, pupils and their parents.

Many thanks for giving us such an enjoyable evening. It was a privilege to watch and makes our vision and purpose for wanting to cresate a venue like The Grand so clear.
