100% behind women in positions of power - by caliber, not gender
Moves for the next EU foreign policy chief to be a woman, so the right image is presented, is a joke.
The current incumbent, Catherine Ashton, ticks that box but has been generally ineffective. And she, a woman who has got to the top earning an annual gross salary, including allowances, of £287,543 - making her the second highest paid, female politician in the world - and without every having been elected by the public to any position whatsoever.
I am 100% behind women being in positions of power - but because they are the right caliber, not just because of their gender.
