Just when you thought life as a Clarets fan could not get any better, it does!
Ace striker Danny Ings has been named as the Sky Bet Championship player of the year – an accolade bestowed by the division’s managers.
The honour is just rewards for a player who has set Turf Moor alight this season. Danny has more than filled the boots left by former marksman Charlie Austin and even got the winning goal against the old enemy at Ewood Park last Sunday.
What sums Danny up though is his choice of venue to celebrate that historic goal. His post-Rovers celebration meal was a Sunday carvery at Sycamore Farm in Burnley. He is truly one of the lads and will always be a Claret.
