What a great start to 2014 for business
Burnley received another slice of good news this week as bakers Warburtons unveiled plans for a £20m. expansion at their factory in town.
And the plan will create at least 60 new jobs at the Billington Road site.
What is particularly pleasing is that Burnley was chosen for the investment ahead of other Warburton sites due to our excellent supply chain and transport facilities.
That really puts the icing on the cake for me as Burnley has worked hard to improve its stature as a business area, culminating in the coveted Enterprise award last year.
It’s a great start to 2014.
