Time to flick the switch on M65 lights?
We all appreciate that we live in austere times and cutbacks are very much the order of the day. But, when push comes to shove, there are some things you just cannot put a price on, such as a life.
Any regular user of the M65 at night cannot have failed to notice the road has been plunged into darkness as the motorway lights have been switched off to save money.
Driving has become just that little bit more dangerous and, as we head towards winter’s icy grip, let’s hope there is some flexibility when it comes to flicking the on and off switch...
