Thanks for making their Christmas special
Every year the Express joins with the local Salvation Army in our toy appeal.
And every year the people of Burnley and Padiham respond magnificently to bring some festive joy to families who may otherwise have faced a barren Christmas.
Any parent will tell you there is nothing quite so rewarding as seeing your child open his or her presents on Christmas morning.
Sadly, without our annual appeal, hundreds of children and parents in the borough would have been deprived of that moment of magic. On behalf of those families I would like to say a big thank-you.
