Roadworks – is the end in sight?
Progress – of sorts – has been made on the never-ending programme of roadworks at the Barracks roundabout at the top of Westgate.
We now have some traffic lights placed on top of poles - although they are covered in blue plastic.
Work on the 18-week programme began on April 22. Now I am no maths genius, but thanks to a wall planner and my fingers and thumbs I have calculated that we are now in week 23 of the work – will we make it to 30?
Joking apart, Burnley has resembled one big car park at times as motorists tackle a never-ending programme of work.
But there is a glimmer of hope and the end could be in sight! Hopefully.
