Amazingly, some people questioned why the Clarets were afforded a civic parade on Sunday. After all, they say, you get nothing for finishing second.
What a load of absolute tosh.
Burnley Football Club has once again lifted the whole town to new heights and promotion to the Premier League certainly deserves recognition of the highest order.
Personally, I would make Sean Dyche Lord of Burnley for the miracle he has worked at Turf Moor this season.
The Clarets have put a smile on thousands of Burnley faces in the last 10 months and residents want to say a big thank you.
