Has toffee-nosed Economist man been north of Watford Gap?
I am guessing that not many copies of The Economist magazine are sold in Burnley.
Pity, because we could have used them to light the town’s bonfire up Towneley. For those who do not know, some toffee-nosed Southerner wrote an article in last week’s edition suggesting it was pointless investing money in northern towns such as Middlesbrough, BURNLEY and Hull because they were, in effect, beyond saving.
Well excuse me sir (I use the title lightly) but hasn’t Burnley just been named Most Enterprising Area in Britain 2013 and which team is top of the Championship? I doubt the writer has ever been north of the Watford Gap!
