Be thankful we have a new Urgent Care Centre
Burnley’s new £9m. Urgent Care Centre has opened its doors and pretty impressive it looks, too.
It may not be the blue light accident and emergency facility we used to have, but we should be thankful Burnley has fared better than most other large towns that have lost their A&E facilities.
Many people, myself included, fought to keep our A&E, but it was always going to be a battle we feared Goliath would win.
Now we have to make full use of the new facility at Burnley General Hospital and be thankful of small mercies.
