George names 15ft sausage 'Beast With Big Hands'

BURNLEY FC's historic victory over Arsenal has inspired butcher and Clarets fan George Heys to create another sausage to honour the team.

Mr Heys, of Heys Butchers in Lyndhurst Road, devised an incredible 15ft long banger called "The Beast With The Big Hands" as a tribute to Burnley goalie Brian Jensen, known to fans as "Beast."

Jensen was awarded man of the match after Tuesday's Carling Cup clash at Turf Moor, which saw Burnley beat Arsenal 2-0 and leap to the semi-finals, just weeks after they surprised the football world by thrashing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Clarets fan Mr Heys said: "I am over the moon about this, it is brilliant, and because Jensen got man of the match I wanted to do something to celebrate that and the role he played in the game."
