Betty the sheep has had a blue rinse to boost Tory supporters in Burnley.
She was let to graze by the Singing Ringing Tree in a fun electioneering stunt by candidate Sarah Cockburn-Price and stamped her feet at two dogs daring to pass by.
“She reminded me of Margaret Thatcher in ‘not for turning mode’ said Mrs Cockburn-Price “She is pretty feisty. Everyone thinks of Burnley as urban but there are large swathes of rural area, and as Conservatives we are very supportive of people in rural parts.”
Cliviger Farmer Jonathan Shorrock used identification dye to give his Beltex breed Betty her make over.
