NOT GUILTY: Teen cleared of killing Briercliffe man (48)
A BURNLEY teenager has been found not guilty of killing a Briercliffe man in a street attack in March.
Luke Smith (18), of Marsden Road, had denied a charge of manslaughter after the death of Darren Atkinson (48) following the attack in Standeh Hall Drive.
A jury at Preston Crown Court took just 30 minutes to clear Smith.
Elliot Burns (17), who is originally from Burnley but now lives in Bedlington, has already admitted the same charge.
