James Goodship (17) died after getting into difficulty while swimming from a raft he and several friends had been using to enjoy the late evening sunshine at the beauty spot on Sunday.

Tributes to the former Colne Park High School and Burnley College student have flooded in since news of the tragedy spread and many of his friends and family members have brought flowers to the lakeside, creating a shrine in James’s memory.
