New Year's Day at WMC helps Pendleside Hospice

Patrons of Paradise WMC have delivered an early New Year boost for Pendleside Hospice fund-raisers.

Alex Catterall and Carl Wood hosted various fun activities and games at the club on New Year’s Day, raising £800.

“We had lots going on from killer darts and pool to horse racing on the TV,” said Alex.

“We have hosted the fun day for the last few years for various charities but this year we have raised more than any other. On the day we made £726 but the club made the donation up to £800. ”

Carl added: “It was a great day which over 200 people came along to. Everyone who came was so generous and contributed towards a great charity.” (s)
