New illustrated book delves into Lancashire's fascinating heritage

A brand new book illustrating Lancashire's rich heritage and fascinating history through the medium of beautiful pictures and quirky accompanying tales is set for release next month.

Titled 'Illustrated Tales of Lancashire' by local historian and author David Paul, the book - described as "a fascinating collection of bizarre and off-beat tales and illustrations" - delves into the fervent tapestry of one of England's most diverse counties, exploring its story-laden and often shocking past.

Bringing to life some of the area's strangest mythical tales involving a range of places, events, and people seldom mentioned in standard histories or guides, the book features over 100 illustrations on strange happenings, hoaxes, interesting remains, witchcraft, and incredible legends.
