A new housing development and the man who oversaw building work are both in line for recognition.
Primrose Hill, in Briercliffe, was the first new housing venture by Calico in Burnley with 60 homes. It has 48 houses and bungalows and 12 apartments.
It has now been short listed in the Best New Housing Development and Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development categories in the regional Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Awards.
Site Manager Andrew Bottomley has been nominated for Site Agent of the Year.
The awards are given for exceptional achievements in the construction industry, and focus on outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability and high performance.
Mr Bottomley works for Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction.
His managing director Mark Cutler said: “I’m delighted that the hard work and dedication the team has shown throughout their work on the Primrose Mill development has been recognised.
“Primrose Mill is a fantastic achievement, and I’m incredibly proud of the effort and work everyone involved in the project has put in, which is of the highest standard.
“It’s also great to see Andrew singled out for the part he played in the project. Andrew is a dedicated, inspirational site manager who is always passionate about the work he does – he really deserves this recognition.”
