New home for Burnley CAB as it faces funding cuts

BURNLEY Citizen’s Advice Bureau has moved into Lodge House in Burnley town centre.

The new headquarters, in Cow Lane, will house Burnley and Pendle’s CAB team, and bosses are keen to maintain a high standard of service despite funding cuts.

The organisation will also open a dedicated telephone advice line for the East Lancashire area from its new base.

Claire Strachan, manager of Burnley CAB, said: “We currently service more than 10,000 clients each year, so there’s a great call for our services.

“However, like many organisations we’ve faced funding challenges in the current climate and our move to Lodge House is a key part of our response to those challenges.
