Nelson man denies murdering woman (34)
A THIRTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD man has denied the murder of a woman whose body was found at an address in Nelson.
Carl Field, of St Philip’s Street, Nelson, pleaded not guilty at a Preston Crown Court hearing to a charge of murdering Debra Louise Smith between February 21st and March 22nd this year.
The 34-year-old woman’s body was found at an address on Norfolk Street, Nelson.
A two-week trial is scheduled to start on September 14th.
Field was remanded in custody by Judge Anthony Russell. There was no application for bail.
