Nelson hit-and-run horror: police appeal
Police have appealed for the driver of a car involved in a collision in Nelson yesterday (Monday) to come forward.
The incident occurred at 4-10pm, near the junction of Netherfield Road and Southfield Street, and involved a white Audi car, a male pedestrian and his dog.
The car failed to stop after the collision, which left the man with a broken leg. His dog sadly died as a result of the accident.
Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact police on 101. The driver has also been asked to report to Nelson police station.
